Solution:

Step 1: First write the equation, in this equation we have to find the variable of x

3x + 10 = 2x + 5

Step 2: subtract 10 on both side, we take only left hand side

3x + 10 – 10 = 2x + 5 - 10

3x = 2x - 5

Step 4: subtract 2x on both side

3x – 2x = 2x – 5 - 2x

x = -5
